Yeah he Pmed me waiting for a reply mate...

Problems.. well 2 mainly

First one... It only happens once a flood and usually early in a morning, the damn wipers go off, must have been going ages today as when I got to the car the battery was as flat as a **** and read this could be down to the BCU..
Second one... Damn door locks grrr... Key fob both of them: Unlocks fine, wont lock just the horn sound. Locking button under the handbrake works fine all doors lock, pull the battery for a while and untill you turn the ignition fob works as it should.. (hoping although it's a l9ong shot they might be related... Checked it today and it seems dry sticker fine so not sure if water has got to it or not..

Edit TBH It might be time to find someone local with a T4 reader and see if that throws anything up

From what you've said sounds like it could be either a BCU problem or a related wiring issue.

A session on T4 may identify the problem, sometimes the BCU can become corrupted and may need to be reprogrammed, failing that a replacement BCU can be programmed to your car and the remote codes transferred over.

Sorry for the delay in replying on a bad wi-fi hotspot at the moment keeps disconnecting

No problem Russ you sound like you know your onions I will call you in the morning.... TBH I only have the car due to my old man passing away 3 years ago in a couple of weeks and my mum still uses the Caravan. Now he was a mechanic (I did it for a few years after leaving school) and looked after all this lol
One thing I did notice when checking the BCU was that there was two wrong screws in the top of the glovebox and the felt had been lifted, so I'm thinking dad had it out before..

I had this problem. Turned out to be a bad leak. Water was pi$$ing in on top of the BCU and fuse box from the windscreen.

Have you checked the passenger footwell for dampness?

Well its gets worse.... lol
Went out to the car tonight to get something out of it, noticed the odometer was lite (its an 02 CDT connisoouer 45000miles btw) looked at the back and so were the brake lights lol fired it up stopped it and its the same. So pulled the battery till the morning, /me thinks disturbing the BCU has made matters worse. Deffo need to get it code read asap..
