Default Wheel Nuts

Have just purchased replacement wheel nuts, but they are different to originals !

Which is correct, the new nuts have a radius seat which fit the original alloys, but the old are tapered and look original with locking nut!

Photo shows the difference, advice please!

There seem to be both types depending which alloys you have. The ones you have bought are not the right ones so send them back!

Not seen a 75 / ZT with radius bolts?

Mine uses the "taper" style.

I saw that listing too and it got me wondering...however when I checked my own bolts, they were clearly tapered, not rounded. I also posted a query on here - if you look back a couple of weeks or so you should find it and the responses it brought.

There should be 2 types. The tapered design that are used to -fit into- the alloy holes and a flatter design for steel rims. The steel rims are a lot thinner than alloys and donīt need to be tappered. This isnīt a MGR thing, itīs universal. As alloys have taken over from steel rims, you donīt see the -non tappered- ones very often. All older cars have the non-tapered version or should do. The tapered ones look a bit odd on steel rims
