Question Erisin wiring

I have bought a Erisin double din stereo which I plan to fit at the weekend if time permits.
On unpacking the unit I noticed that there is no wiring diagram and I can’t find one specific to the model I bought on the internet.
The question I have is why does the loom supplied have a wire labelled ‘brake line - handbrake’, only thought I had was a safety feature to prevent the television being watched whilst driving.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks in advance, Paul.

On my erisin dd I have the same from memory it's pink, you have two choices wire it to the handbrake switch so no TV or DVD while driving or earth it and both will work when driving

Hope you'll find time to post updates to your installation - I've spent the last couple of weeks installing my Erisin, and it's been a bit of a nightmare, I'm afraid (it's mostly documented here), so I could do with some moral support

Which model did you fit?
Do you use the radio at all...?

Cheers

Roger

Hello Roger, I haven’t fitted the unit yet - I hope to fit it this weekend if it doesn’t rain too much!
The unit I bought is a ES3146b which is a 7” android 10 variant.
I have read your posts, so fingers crossed.
Paul.

You may have a look upon Sjonnie & Popcorn explanations & mines about the Erisin:

A bit long but might be helpful...

Thank you, a long read as you say, shame all the thumbnails are missing - as is my thanks button!
Maybe the thumbnails will reappear at some point, would be helpful.
Paul.

You may have a problem with your browser because all pics in whatever thread I ask for are visible on my computer.
Have a close look within the Club Website and Forum Feedback section or ask the gurus.
