Just been in Lidl -

• stood to one side, to let people coming towards me get past what appeared to be a Mothers' Union meeting in the middle of an aisle; about 8 people walked past - not a 'thank you' from one of them.
• A women decided she was going to abandon her trolley, crossways in the aisle, while she had a nosey at the cheese. Unable to get past her, I said 'excuse me' - and got a grunt in return which sounded suspiciously like some sort of "off"
• A woman accompanied by 6 kids, all drinking bottles of pop - and one of them dropped their bottle all over the floor - leaving a dripping wet and dangerous pool of liquid. Did she ask a member of staff to mop it up - NO! - she told the kid to "just leave it" and carried on with her shopping.
• Finally, someone had obviously changed their mind about what they'd bought - so abandoned a pound of sugar, a bottle of milk and a packet of frozen peas on the floor

Bah humbug to the lot of 'em

For the "real" shopping experience try a 24 hour Adsa in the early hours of the morning. There are things out shopping that can never be seen at any other time of the day. Things that look like they were poured into their leggings, strange lumps where lumps shouldn't naturally be. Quite disconcerting to say the least
