Old Toy Gadgets.
I was explaining to my son(11) over the phone about the latest gadgets in my day. One was the Frisco Disco record player that was battery operated so portable.
Ay school we used to go into the toilets with it for maximum sound (echo) and my friend used to secretly borrow his brothers, now rare, punk records which after being on the cheap record player, couldn't have done them a lot of good Any one out there with an old toy gadget that they were fond of

My oldest bro bought these for me and my next up brother one xmas and we thought we had entered the space age .
In those days batteries were uber expensive so when my dad got fed up splashing out they fell into misuse . HAPPY DAYS. |

I always wanted an astro wars but Santa never ever remembered. It was all I could think about for years as a wee boy.
I met my mrs 17 years ago and the first time I went to her house, she had an old astro wars. I've still got it somewhere. |

We used to have this really fun toy which had two plastic robot fighters in a boxing ring. One was Blue, the other Red and you could operate the controls to move them and make them punch. The idea was to whack the head of our opponent, which would then pop up.
Can't think of the name of it for the life of me or I would find a picture. Great fun though |
