Nothing wrong with a heron, just the people who put the fish on a plate for them!

They fly high and can spot water from a very long way away..

Worth noting that now Mr/Mrs Heron knows where your pond is, it will be back (when it has slept off its last big supper!)

Afterall, you don't forget where your fridge is do you?

Place a few rubber mats round the pond, cover with wire mesh, connect mesh to mains voltage... Wait for Heron to go fishing--- heh heh...
