The Vauxhall Victor.
I'm sure some of you know I have a Victor, whilst my eyes have been faulty I've not done much but, as they started to clear I did a few start jobs on the Victor. The car has much rot and there's not many spares for them these days, it means that many parts have to be rebuilt no matter how rusty. I bought a donor shell a few years ago that was unusable but with solid panels, I stripped that shell and I'm using the bits for my Victor. It's not a 75/ZT so any posts concerning it I'll put here. I've put some pictures up of the back end repairs underway, the inner lower quarters were shot so I've made some repair sections to fit, they are formed from MK2 Transit repair panels as the curve is almost the same. I have to make a new inner rear valance as this one is shot, I did a trial fit of the replacement boot floor and you'll get an Idea of how much different the car will be with good panels, it's a 1972 model with the original bench seat and very rare, it's why I'm repairing it.

Wow!
My dad has a Vauxhall Cresta Pb in his garage, sadly, both are derelict. I think his would only be use for a spares car it's in that bad a state, but it's great to see what you're doing with the Victor!

I had a 1973 model some years back and found similar rot under the rear of mine. I used to leave the window open and the key in it but nobody would nick it..

Its amazing what folk have to do to restore classic cars. Being in the classic Mini scene virtually everything is available off the shelf (of various qualities) up to and including new shells so we forget just how hard people have to strive to get them on the road!
