Hot buttered popcorn was released around 22 July 1972, the original by Gershon Kingsley was recorded in 1969!
and the Moog orchestra disk I've got was recorded in 1968. but yes Skrillex and gorillaz are 00's stuff! Banging tracks and very good for sub systems! I think I had my dub plate for dance with beat made in 1999 and its irreplaceable and dub plates don't like heat very much, I remember knocking over a par can on a DJ set and it just touched a dub plate and it shrivelled up! (I don't think vinyl or CD's would take heat much for that matter)

From the days when albums were vinyl and called LP's:
1. Roy Buchanan (1st Album) 1972 2. Roy Buchanan (2nd Album) 1973 3. Roy Buchanan That’s What I am Here For 1973 4. Roy Buchanan Hot Wires 1987 5. As a reserve, and to dispel any accusations of favouritism: E.C. Was Here /Eric Clapton 1975 (The best cover I have ever seen, both ffrroonntt and bbaacckk). Going for a lie down now.

I'm another for generally just listening on random play in the car - If I had to pick 5 albums - current choices might be ...
it's a tough call and the above are just what are currently going around my head (mostly).

As I'm currently putting together a retro hi-fi system I've been revisiting a lot of my old stuff and enjoying them once more.
Reckon I could carry a lot more out of a burning building or at least die trying.
