Clutch judder

Out on saturday around town. There was some clutch judder in first. Not had this before.

PS; the lower engine mount is on the way out.

I dont get judder as such just never get clean pick up, presume the lower mount would be worth changing?

Normally the slave cylinder leaking clutch fluid onto the clutch plate!

Have you checked the fluid level?

Sorry for the Hijack but..........

Went to work wednesday last week and had awful clutch judder (as in it felt like the engine was being ripped out) in first and second gear and the rest i couldnt get a clean change, limped it home and left it a few days, moved it on saturday and the judder wasnt as bad. Was thinking about the slave leaking and contaminating the clutch plate, how do i check the level as the master cylinder is totally black and cannot see in?

Or slightly more seriously!! use a mirror and a torch!!

Dont forget that if you lift the trim panel off that is just under the steering wheel as well - a sharp tug will release the clips (once you have the 2 screws out from the rear edge of the panel that sits above the pedals - the one with the slots in it) then you will get much better visability to the master cylinder and no need to lay on your back!!

Start saving mate. Mine did this for about six months, then pedal went to the floor! This is my old slave cylinder... Good luck getting it done!

I am paying about £14.40 a month for AA repair parts and labour cover.
I am doing it for a reason....hehehe.

Mine has been doing this, fearing the worst i've fitted a the poly bush engine mount and its totally cured it. Whats more the gear change is smoother because the new bush must stop the engine rocking. Even going on and off the throttle the change is smoother in comparison to before. Incidentally there there no noticable splits in the old bush, i just think it had gone soft with age. The only downside is that there's a little bit more vibration at idle.
