Default £93.96 for a bit of plastic trim.

Hi Chaps
Some unknown person has bumped the rear bumper of my Rover 75 saloon and split the centre plastic chrome trim. Rimmer Bros. are asking £93.96 for a new one which seems pretty excessive to me. Do I have to bite the bullet and fork out the cash or does anyone have an alternative suggestion?

Default Rear bumper trim

Hi Mickyboy, Many thanks for replying. I've attempted to send you a P.M. but it's not showing up as having got through to you. I definitely want the part so if you could please send me details of where to send the money I'll get it off to you without delay.

Many thanks

David

Glad you are getting sorted, RB should be your last port of call, the postage charges alone are insane, avoid avoid unless you have absolutely no choice.

I would suggest that your first port of call should be the Traders and the Wanted Section on here.

I am still gobsmacked after someone dented my passenger front door and I was quoted c. £600 to repair it.

I posted a wanted add here for a same colour door and I got one for £40. A fellow club member even delivered it to my door!

So I now have a perfect door plus the old one in the garage as a spare source for motor, central locking actuator etc.

So I saved about £560 and have spares on the shelf

I broke mine and used a s/h replacement - much cheaper. Only downside is the rear bumper has to be removed. The clips are part of the trim itself and they're pretty chunky, made of hard plastic and will break.
