Default Spotted in Luxembourg ... Italian club member?

Nice clean ZT-T parked up in the services northbound from Luxembourg last week ... Italian plates and a Club badge on the front grille.

Fortunately our car, with the accumulated filth of three weeks driving round Europe, was hidden away at the back of the car park!

Passed the same car on the motorway a few miles up the road and exchanged headlight-flashes.

That's Luciano's (Mccano) car, it was featured as the car of the month for December 2012

http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/inde...f_month_dec_12

He's a very pleasant gent, makes regular trip's to the UK, also attends some of the National meets, The Classic Car Show at the NEC and the Pride of Longbridge.

I've had the great pleasure of meeting him on several occasions.

Yes indeed,
Me and my wife on our way to UK. I was nearly sure the ZT belonged to a member and was very pleased to exchange a flash. We are now in Leicestershire and have seen quite a few ZT and ZTT's around.
Still enjoying my car, now at 192000 mls.
All the best,
Luciano e Annarosa

Gorgeous car! We were down in Italy a couple of weeks ago - didn't see many MG Rovers at all Quite a few Rover's in France (particularly in the north)

Wish our 71k mile Mk1 ZTT looked as good as your 192k mile Mk2! Obviously I should wash it more often! LOL

Lovely looking ZT.

I stayed in Aosta in April and saw lots of MG Rovers. Switzerland won though, I saw so many I lost count! I was in a little MG ZR at the time mind.

Yes, met Luciano at 2013 POL and delighted to see he is re-visiting UK, as explained he makes many trips here on business, exporting British style to Italy (coals to Newcastle?) and is very pro-British hence the car. Regards, Luciano, Mike M.

Luciano - a pleasure to have spotted you!

We were on our way home, a total of 4925 miles taking in England, France, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary (for a week - missus is a Magyar), Slovenia, Italy (3 nights at Ravenna this year), San Marino, Austria, Liechtenstein, Switzerland and Luxembourg.

The ZT cruised at a merry 100mph most of the way. I wore holes in both front wheel arch liners somehow (presumably tyres rubbing on hard lock, no idea though), at the point where they attach to the front of the arch with the clip and screw, and had to remove a fallen-off exhaust heat shield to stop it rattling around.

Otherwise, not a single problem with the car.

A healthy amount of 75s around the Continent - particularly in Poland - but no other ZTs. Had a red ZT and a blue ZT-T parked near us at RAF Cosford Museum on Saturday, though.

That was quite a trip, and you didn't hang around when you passed me!
Good thing that we use and cherish cars with character, who would take a picture of another Audi A6 or of a BMW 520 on a motorway?
Back in Italy now, car behaved faultlessly and now shows 194500 miles.
All the best and thanks for the pictures, also thanks to Jimbo for the kind words.
Luciano
