Hi Paul
Unsure of what I'm doing this weekend but I'll PM you my number..
There is no need for anyone to panic over payment..For the boat trip you can pay on board and I can collect payment for the Nothe fort when we are all there on Sunday..You will need passes to gain entry to the Nothe and I will hand these out on Saturday night to those who are coming to the meal and post out the other few that are coming Sunday only..
Cheers Ian

Its a shame that you are struggling on the Numbers Ian.
Last years meet at The Boat that Rocks seemed well attended and we really enjoyed our day. When you announced a weekend meet this year it was straight in our calender.
I wish you well in getting support for the meet from other groups.

Wish I could come down Ian and support your meet... Heard nothing but good things about them...

The little one is due a few days before your meet and I cannot get permission fro the other half to attend my own meets, yet alone others now

Hope people stick their names down ASAP for you...

Thanks Brian
As you will be aware the parking at last years meet got pretty desperate which along with increasing prices (almost £7 for 2 small beers) at the Boat that Rocks prompted me to look elsewhere..The Nothe Fort is an English Heritage site and it has taken a few meetings to make the event happen particularly with parking inside the fort..I have spoken with the management again and can stretch the closing date for the meet by a couple of weeks which may allow one or two others to join us..So fingers crossed..
The other problem that the low turnout have given me is the boat trip.It costs £150 to hire the boat so if I get 30 passengers it's £5 each.. at the moment I have 17 confirmed so that obviously makes it much more expensive especialy if you have a family to pay for..

Oh well lets hope a few more join in..
Cheers Ian

Thumbs up Appreciation from Up North - Come on Down!

Well Ian, we appreciate your efforts.
Last year was brilliant (so much so that even Mrs Incensed, with her "Won't get out of bed for less than £10,000" attitude, was eager to come down again).
Although the weather and the setting in 2012 were stunning, I think this year's venue is much less dependent on being blessed by the sun god.
It's also really good to go to a meeting where the cars aren't virtually the only focus of attention.
And for anyone who hasn't been to Weymouth, there can't be a better way of being introduced to this little gem of a seaside town.
But the people who attended were the most important ingredient in making last year's event the success it was and whether 20 people show up or 200, I know 2013 will be enjoyed by those who go, your efforts won't have been in vain. Those who don't go will have missed something special.
For me too, life seems odd if I don't see Weymouth at least once a year - and what a terrific excuse for coming down!

Hi Ian

It is with regret that i have to pull out of the weekender due to a complete rota change at work. This has comeabout due to staff leaving and not being replaced. My average working week is now 78hrs throughout the summer season.

I`m really sorry for this mate as i was looking forward to supporting your good self and catching up with everyone again.I`m absolutely gutted.

I hope all goes well and i`m sure all will have a great time.Good luck.
