so what do the different letters signify? Were any other body types found with such deviations?

More from the Two-sixties.

SAR RX G L G B 3 0 000007 = Manual RHD 2003 ????????

SAR RX G L G N 2 D 000007 = Manual LHD 2002 Longbridge

The B 3 0 = manual RHD = 2003

The N 2 D = manual LHD = 2002

Nic is the man to answer this one (not knocking Tim), but I suspect there was a "development" reason why there are 2 number sevens...

Here I put more pics about development cars.

I think that this photo is a preproduction ZT 385:

And here the second car with VIN 007. I had these photos in my file from long time ago. But I did not know that it was the 007 car.

More pictures about development cars:

Interior VIN 003

ZT V8 with 51 plate, maybe vin 004? 005?:

And I have a question: Is this the same car??

Here are some very recent pictures of the RHD 07. The years have taken their toll:

Davids right Nic may have more info. This is from May 2006 when we last talked to Nic about 007's

"This is getting interesting. I know the registration number, it's triggered a memory. There was another car that I used to get confused with and that reg was BF52 UGC not UCG. Vaguely remember the car, but I think that it was a general car that got used for various disciplines.

Don't get too concerned about the ISO model year numbers, I'm more interested as to why records show the car to have a B in the VIN where as the one on the car is an N for hand of drive and transmission?

ISO model years normally kicked in about 6 months before the change of the year so the 3 is actually correct. We used to change around June time so the fact that the car was built from June to late 2002 means that the 3 is ok.

As you say, there are holes and without physically seeing the car myself it's a tad harder to pin down. However, it all makes for interesting reading."
