I want to have a good look at one. Looks more room in engine bay than the V6 but I understand that there is not a full spare wheel well in the V8 because of the diff. (English is a funny language, when I said 'full' I meant it in the sense of complete rather than not empty!)

Also, bear in mind also that a filler point has to be mounted externally somewhere.

The spaceship thingy, by the way, is a 4-hole tank with air-tight box all mounted the wrong way round, in my opinion. Not that important safetywise, but as the dip tube for the liquid LPG is at the front relative to the car, then on hard acceleration and a nearly empty tank, the liquid will be pushed to the rear and the system could revert to petrol.

Bernard the tank will not go in the wheel well because

If you want a closer look I can bring mine over some time
If I keep this beast for anything more than weekends LPG will be a sensible option

Yes, well, enough said there.
My twin tank installation looks a bit like the earlier piccie in this thread. We are not bothered by the intrusion into the boot area. There is still enough room for a space-saver and a decent suitcase and hold-all.
I have said before that we went to Spain for 4 weeks and had nothing on the back seats in the way of luggage. But we only have 60 Litres in the boot itself.
We should meet up, Keith. We have been down this route before.

Watching with MAJOR Interest Guys!

I'm a big fan of LPG*, V8 power**, RWD and the tourer.... I just haven't been able to put all 4 together......

I'm currently wondering about fitting an upright tank on the side of the boot opposite the cd player (I'm only interested in having a Tourer that has a useable boot).

*My ZT-T 190 runs on the stuff
**Especially the Dreadnought supercharged version..

How much headroom is there in the V8 boot? I mean the vertical measurement from floor to lid.

My last reply got out of sequence somehow, it was a reply to the piccie of Keith's spare wheel well, or not!

Hi Bernard
In my V8 model with the Harmon Kardon sound box there is head room of 16 inches without there is just short of 20 inches in height.

Hmmm, thats not a lot of height. I need to see one really.
Maybe I can flag Keith down as he flies past on his journeys south.
Keith, just out of interest, what does the metal work on the left of the wheel well conceal?

The differential, but you are looking from the LH side, so it is towards the front.

Ah! I just assumed the view was from the rear. Obvious now.
