Default inlet plenum removal KV6

So I removed all the plugs pipes cables etc, along with the 4 10mm bolts along the front, but for the life of me couldn't find any more holding it on, yet it wouldn't budge, what have I missed please?

Think it's going to need another one, as rod for the power valves seems to have slipped through 90 degrees and is pointing towards back of the car, and the manifold is rattling like a good un! Yet when I started it before handing over teh cash, it gave a brief rattle then went quiet!

Two more around the back of it Over the top and down the back between the bulkhead Tricky at first I understand

Recent thread on here indicates the rod and butterflies can be removed. This would eliminate the rattle but obviously render the power VIS inoperable. this is the one that operates at 4000, 4500 revs.

Stannington Glen has just discovered his has been removed prior to ownership!

This would be done at your own risk obviously if you cannot repair or scource a replacement

I felt a few 8mm nuts but when loosened off it made no difference, manifold was still tight. Mind, I had the headache from hell (still have) so wasn't really in the right frame of mind to carry on with it today.

Once all the fastenings are off you'll need to find a thin implement to carefully free the manifold from the block - it won't just lift off and will be 'stuck' quite solid.

You have three big O-rings holding the manifold in place. Use a crow bar and lift the manifold gently under the one side to open a tiny gap. Wedge half a clothes peg between the plastic and the aluminium, repeat at the other side and then gently lever the thing off in tiny steps.

Does anyone know the size of the 2 rear bolts at all? May give me a sporting chance of getting the right 2!
