could face 5 years in prison. just watching channel 4 news and there were a few anti drone items. A drone? firing a net at the offending drone and a bird trained to attack and grab offending drone. Also someone saying there is technology to track the pilot.
A drone to take down a drone, I get that, so what are they waiting for, Christmas? I hope other airports are looking at ways to down a drone and perhaps trace the control signal macafee2 |

I'm surprised there weren't contingency plans to quickly deal with drones. Closed all day - unbelievable. Low tech solution - a few shotguns around the place (in properly trained hands).

I was going to suggest similar, there will be plenty of firearms police at the airport, just get them to shoot it down

Another sighting in the last hour, now closed until the morning.
The number of people affected is over 100,000. Only hope they find the person responsible . |

regrettable we are focusing on the wrong thing here. Had the present government listened to expert advice some years back, and had they acted appropriately, with the correct legislation, this might have been avoided, instead, we find ourselves in the same old situation, whereby we are unprepared, disorganised, indecisive and exposing the public to unnecessary stress, danger and anxiety. ( reminiscent of another ongoing disaster... B****t.) This government clearly is made up of incompetents who have long outlasted their usefulness and need to make room for a new fresh group of people who actually have a different strategy to getting this country back up and running once again. Had this been a 'terrorist' action, how will they have coped, clearly they are at a loss, or maybe that is what they will have us believe, don't always believe what the various news agencies report. What the point here is many peoples holiday plans have been disrupted, even ruined, I hope when they finally get whoever is responsible they deal with them in the appropriate manner. |
