Jeff - you need to move up here - this is the weather warning issued this afternoon

Met Office Warnings Issued For: Redcar and Cleveland

  1. Yellow early warning of snow

From: 1200 on Tue 8 NovemberTo: 0900 on Wed 9 November

Rain will turn to snow in places later on Tuesday and into Wednesday morning. This could bring accumulations of 4 to 8 cm across some hilly areas of northern England and Scotland, largely above 200-300m, with as much as 15 cm possible above 300-400 m.

Overnight Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning, as snow peters out over Scotland, there is the potential for snow to settle to low levels over parts of Yorkshire and down into the northeast Midlands, though with a good deal of uncertainty about this. Please be aware of the risk of difficult driving conditions in some areas.

You got me there.... lol! g...I...t...

Rod, don't panic, you don't drive a Red Car anymore! Good opportunity to test your Auxiliary Heater though...

Red Car - oooh - subtle and cunning that one Stu

I'll tell you what - the auxiliary heating doesn't half clear the windscreen quick - I'm sure George would appreciate something similar in the frozen parts of Glasgow - and even on his windscreen

Just had horrendous news about one of my Club's older and very valued members. Poor Sid was crossing the road opposite the Club, on his way to a committee meeting, when he was hit by a car which pushed him into the river.
He didn't survive.
80 years old, bright as a button and an old fashionerd English gentleman - to say I'm shocked is an understatement.

Rod, I'm sorry to hear that sad news. My condolences to you and his family.
