1 flaw to your logic of voting for the policy . . this relies on a local candidate for the party whose policies you wish to vote for.

So get the closest match... Or you have to put up with other peoples choices, even if the one you voted for doesn't get in, at least you tried.. |

Why don't we
Surely there are enough motorists in the UK to make an alternate party based around a better deal for motorists an attractive proposition?
I think that most people rarely vote altruistically, ie: whats in the best interests of the country, instead favouring the "what's in it for me"? approach. I suggest therefore that the manifesto of the 'Motor Way' party (as oposed to the 3rd Way) is designed to appeal directly to the motorist by proposing such things as: 1 - The immidiate abolition of all speed cameras 2 - The reduction in fuel duty to 50p per gallon 3 - The de-restriction of national motorway speed limits (except on the M6 at Junction 10 - because you can't do more than 40 on a good day) 4 - A Free Sandwich and Bottle of fizzy drink of your choice when filling up at a motorway service staton 5 - The abolition of congestion charges, Bus Lanes and Red Routes 6 - HGV vehicles only allowed on Motorways, Main and Trunk roads between 6 pm and 6 am 7 - The immidiate sequestration of BMW and it's assets - just for the sheer hell of it 8 - The introduction of Car/Motorbike only Sundays. No HGV's to clutter up the place 9 - The enforced destruction of all caravans and the 4wd 'tractors' needes to haul them around the countryside - without compensation - if you're daft enough to buy one in the first place ...................... and finally 10 - Paid up party members will be issued with a remote control which will automatically turn any traffic light to your favour Call me reactionary or a little to the right of Attila the Hun - but we have to start somewhere. Seriously though, the amount of enthusiasm the fuel tax protestors generated and the perceived threat to the governement, was enough to ensure that the proposed rises in fuel taxs were deferred. So join me today - lets make the UK the Motor-Way!! (Vote for me) I'm AndyG - only slightly mad and loving it

Properly exercising your franchise today requires a lot of time and effort to discern as close to the truth as one can. In order to save yourself the time and effort and still make an informed choice, seek out the opinions of the biggest idiot you can find and vote the opposite way.
You still may not have achieved accuracy in your choice but at least you have neutralised one idiot's vote. |

BNP?
Buy it Now Party  Is Ebay going for world domination now then To get back to Tatts op yes the History channel does seem to have a very narrow range of material to broadcast. I wonder what the channels programme controllers answer would be if asked, as it does make you wonder why they show what the do? |
