Evening all, boy some of those wind gusts are getting strong, I've just heard a piece of roof tile clatter down on the conservatory roof

Made the cats jump, I hoope theres no damage to the polycarbonate roof . I'm on Black 5 duty in the Severn tunnel

Fired them a few times including one run Edinburgh to Newcastle when it was going back south after a season on the West Highland line. The Glasgow guys we took over from in Edinburgh told us what speed they had managed, my driver regarded that as a challenge, the old LNER-LMS rivalry resurfaced Steam locos were supposed to be restricted to 75mph, the Glasgow men managed 85mph along the Glasgow-Edinburgh main line, we got it up to just under 90 south of Berwick before the Traction Inspector travelling with us had a word in the driver's ear and he eased the throttle back! Believe me 90mph in a steam loco is an interesting experience.

Morning all, another very windy day instore for us.
I'm working in Colchester and then Ipswich today.
The trip to Ipswich involves crossing the Orwell Bridge.....Looks like it is going to be closed due to the winds, this means traffic chaos if so

Cool

Morning all from blustery Saltash.

Allen and I are off up to Matt’s today to collect some wheels for Allen’s 75. He wants a spare set on whilst he gets the Vikings refurbished.

Morning, wind was kinda wild during the night, still breezy but dry. Rough this morning, feel like I've had a kicking during the night.

Morning everyone, what a wild night! the wind has been howling down the bedroom chimney through the night, I heard ours & the next door neighbours wheelie bins get blown around, there's rubbish everywhere I'm not up to bending down picking that lot up let.
Clinic appointment with mam shortly for yet another blood test.

Still very windy & raining.

Good morning Steve, what’s up?

I am at the hospital again, as I had to repeat the test again. Yesterday it said my breathing stopped 4 times. It’s an expensive test at £300 a go. I hope you feel better soon, take it easy. Forgot to say, someone rear ended our 4x4 in the hospital car Park in their BMW this morning. The nose of it is squashed, no one hurt and our 4x4 is okay.

Morning Phil, you must be on first name terms with the hospital staff!

I've had trouble sleeping since I managed to give myself a concussion, its a known post concussion problem. Toss and turn for hours (I was still awake at 6am the other morning!) and don't feel refreshed in the morning. Thinking about seeing a doc but he/she'll probably just want to give me knockout pills.
