Default Rover 75 V8 for sale on Ebay

Here is a Rover 75 V8, low mileage although a bit expensive..

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2005-ROVER-75-...item230b2a87e1

What has he done to the front grill..

And it has exhaust heat shields, unusual on a 75 V8, plus a normal number plate..

No chance Rob..

I really enjoyed V8 ownership but one of my 75s had to go..

Anyway this one I would consider a bit of a project. To make it top standard it would need.

Vortex alloys.
Real walnut dashboard.
Walnut and sandstone steering wheel.
Front grill replacing.
New rear bumper.
Etc, etc,

He's got to be joking. £10K????.

That's nearly twice the price I paid for my Contemporary SE which has all the options including 18 inch Vortex wheels and only has 25K on the clock!!

Ah well, if you don't ask you definitely won't get! I wish him luck

Think he will be lucky to get 7K..

Noticed it not got zenon headlamps and no mention of powerfolds.

Getting more expensive to upgrade..

Now re-listed. New price £7500 so maybe you could get for less than 7K

IMO now getting towards a more reasonable asking price.

Regarding the heat shields - a member on the Two-Sixties that has owned a 75 V8 from new says his has both heat shields and the straight exhausts from the ZT. He says that it was an option at the time of ordering which I doubt as my contact that worked for MGR for 20 years says that none left the factory with that specification. The only think I can think of is that it was dealer fitted.

Still don't like it myself, plus the grille just looks horendous.

Cheers
Jim

Default exhaust pipes

I wonder if it had Xpower back boxes that have been removed for sale and the original back boxes replaced?

Now that's an idea I hadn't thought of.

Looking at the pics that seems highly unlikely. X-Powers would have been touching the surrounds judging by the way the originals sit now.
