I'll be getting before and after readouts for mine, as i'll be interested to see what mines currently producing. The gain in torque is more important

It depends on your needs , the 160 map is perfectly fine and a good improvement, i have it on my dads 75 auto and it'll be staying, but it doesnt suit my needs on my ZT.
I wanna squeeze as much as I can out of the engine before I have to start making physical changes how much can I expect to see extra from my 131 cdti?
I'll have the car by June the 16th when are you guys thinking of heading down?

Is this not your first car? Wouldn't it be better to actually learn how to drive before getting the car remapped and stuffing it into a ditch/hedge/house/person

When I say learn to drive I mean get a bit of experience behind the wheel on your own btw.

Whilst I agree, im not an idiot on the road and I would never risk my baby's life! (My ZT) OR my own for that matter haha.

But I'd still like to know how much can be squeezed out of the engine either way

A member whos already had it done got 150bhp and 325 lb/ft torque on a rolling road. He was running the 160map with a synergy as well and the custom map was an improvement in terms of power.

Another member saw 2 seconds shaved off his 0-60 time whilst didn't see any improvement in 0-60 after the 160 map.

If you are looking for maximum power (at a safe limit the car can handle) then id go for the custom remap like i am, otherwise if you want the car to be more driveable and have the power it should have had out the factory then the 160 map is suited to you

Sorry to call you out on this, but with 170HP the best I can do is 9.6 seconds 0-60. The book time is 10.something, to get it down to 8.something would take a LOT of power.

I'm always interested in rolling road printouts if you have any?

These 0-60 times.......when it comes down to .2 or .3 of a second, can`t that depend on how quick you are a changing gear and your experience as a driver Etc.
It`s not F1 when you get X is two seconds faster the Y is it??
Those sort of times for a road going Sedate Family Saloon car is a load of Bunkum!
Ken.

It has to be said, I thought the forum re-mappers did 'custom' re-maps. Maybe you're talking 'personal preference' re-maps. If the latter, then aren't you straying into unknown territory?
