two tips from me maybe not important but worth to consider:
1. big filter should be higher or hose because all oil from throttle will go in to filter even with oil catcher some oil is going in.
2. intake air should be colder than from engine bay

Im going to fit a shield to my filter and a cold air feed
When its not so cold outside!

My 160 came with an enclosed cone filter with a cold air feed from the foglamp which was goosed and in the boot. I would of fead it from the grill area to the side but heho. Il try to find a pic with the bonnet up

What does the 'enclosed' filter look like? Is it like an inline fuel filter or similar? Does it make much difference to have the cold feed to it, over the filter sitting in the engine bay? Thanks.

The one in mine is a pippercross it is just a carbon heatshield for your cone filter in the same way the airbox is for your pannel filter. The cold air feed makes sure that when driving the coldest air poss enters the engine

Ok thanks. Will have to look a bit closer into how i will do mine. Only have a cone filter at the moment, so will research what else i need.....
