Default Boot sensor fault...............

Hello Guy & Girls,

I'm in need of some advice, The sensor that opens the boot is no longer working (just stopped working one day), Its not that fuses as I've checked but now I'm all out of ideas.

I would appriciate any advice you could offer me from what the fault might be to what part is needed to replace it and how to do so.

Thanks in advice.

If it makes rapid clunking noises but doesn't open, all you need to do is adjust the boot lid rubber stops to either apply or remove a little tension.

If it just remains silent then I'm sure somebody else will be able to advise

It will just not open, no noise or anything, The only way to open it is to disconnect the battery but can leave it like that.

Thanks for the reply anyway.

Any other advice would be great.
