New Clutch, Master Cyl & Slave Cyl
Hi All,
Just had a new Clutch, Slave & Master fitted. £883 all in which I judge from previous threads is pretty normal money. However, driving from Stafford down to London this evening tried to utilise the Cruise Control and .......nothing. Light on the button came on but nothing when I try to "Set" from the steering wheel. Have the garage left something disconnected or perhaps broken something whilst doing the work? I don't fully understand the system but I know that when employed a dip on the clutch or brake disengages it so I'm presuming they've done something!!!! Driving back to Stafford in the morning so will call in the garage, I just wanted to have some idea what I'm talking about in case they argue the toss about it Thanks in anticipation Sorry people, just found the answer in another post, must be the switch at the top of the clutch pedal. I'll have a look tomorrow Last edited by Gusher; 21st September 2009 at 19:47.. Reason: Just found answer on the forum |

Yup pretty easy fix. Send me a PM if you get completely stuck as I drive through Stone every day going to work and back. The switch will always get knocked, the pedal travels further up when the master cylinder is disconnected. |

Many thanks Duncan, I popped back into the garage where I had it done and I'm taking it back in there on Friday morning. They said that although they'd done a test drive on the clutch they hadn't tested the cruise control.
