Remote window closing..
Pretty Close to getting one of these ..
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=230121588475 I pestered the seller and as He couldn't confirm its suitability for the ZT/75 and he's emailed me a copy of the installation instructions, not that comprehensive, but all the cables are there. The seller says " he's not known of it not working with any particular car with it being " universal".. but then he would wouldn't he ? Anyone got any views on it ?? , from what I can see all the connections should be in the drivers door. Will get at it in a day or 2 , as just replacing my kenwood Cassette with a kenwood CD/MP3.....at the mo. take care all Chris

There are two normally open micro switches in the drivers door key barrel, when the key is turned to lock the car, one connects an earth path on the Pink/Brown cable to the BCU which then controls the locking system, when unlocking with the key, the other switch provides an earth path on a Pink/White cable to the BCU for the opposite function.
For Lazy Locking/Venting, in each case, it is the BCU that senses the key is held in either position and operates it. So another switch or relay contacts wired in parallel with each microswitch would operate in the same way. |

Now this is an interesting project.
I wonder how secure the receiver is?. The description mentions "codes" so its probably OK. You don't want every Tomas, Richard and Harrison opening your windows . Also I wonder the lazy vent micro switch disables the alarm voltage sensing? Or does it unlock the doors and switch off the alarm? Finally, why not go the whole 27 feet and use channel 4 for remote starting?

Paul, remember the relay would have to "latch" for a defined period of time and then unlatch. The windows only go up or down for as long as the key is turned in the lock.
