Default Flooded Plenum Fan failure?

Hello Folks

After a previous posting I have just checked and my right hand side plenum is flooded>I will attempt to get at it tomorrow morning[too dark now] but can this be the cause of fan failure[as suggested by greeners, thanks]
As said before the car seems to be driving fine yet the fan[the noisy one at passenger side]is only coming on every now and again and not running after long journeys.I don't want to do the car any damage!

Lastly,i'm in south ayrshire so does anyone know of a Rover/Mg specialist as[you can guess] i'm not very Mech minded.

Much appreciated

As you can see I'm not from that neck of the woods but apparently Kerr Baillie at Ardrossan (Xpart / MGR) and Brysons at Prestwick are where some owners go. I know it ain't South D&G however someone on here may have more local suggestions?

are you talking about the heater/blower and not the engine cooling fan, first thing is get the plenum drained and unblocked and dried out and go from there

I think it maybe the engine cooling fan[the heater blower is working ok]The fan[under the passenger side of the bonnet] used to come on as soon as the centrally unlocked and again would come on when locked after a journey but hasn't worked since Mon morning.

That sounds like the fuel burning heater fan to me.

Sorry for being so cr.. but that would suggest that the heater/air con would not blow hot because i'm pretty sure it still is.i can check this tomorrow..??
