A couple of atmospheric shots taken late afternoon in February this year, overlooking Derwentwater,Keswick.
Again the emphasis, being on the cloud effect,as with most of my sunset pics, which i personally think adds atmosphere to any scene. Best Regards. John.

Good evening John, your latest photos certainly have much atmosphere, depth of colours are not 'over cooked'. The one of the bridge and stormy looking clouds, does it for me thank you for taking the time in showing us the beautiful countryside and sunsets.

Many thanks for your kind comments,I owe it all in no small measure to being very fortunate in living between stunning scenery such as this as a backdrop & the coastline & sea at the front door so to speak, for superb sunsets so as to be able to capture such absolutely stunning shots. Best Regards. John.

Some shots, mainly for the 'nautical' interest of Phil [Gatekeeper] I took about 3 years ago on a visit to Edinburgh, the first 2 are from the rear deck & from the side of the Royal Yacht 'Brittania',the 3rd is the 'Gulmar Da Vinci'
Best Regards. John.

A very atmospheric view taken late afternoon a couple of weeks ago,of sunset over the Piers at Whitehaven, with a steady sea running which I think just adds that bit more interest to the shot.
No dramatic cloud effect this time, but I think the wave action makes up for that. Best Regards. John.

As always John, you never fail to disappoint. I will show you a programme I use, when I see you in Birmingham. It is called Adobe Lightroom and amongst other uses, it is handy for correcting the sky, when sometimes the light blows a 'white out or is slightly over cooked
