Yes indeed, I paid over £100 for the LUK slave for my wife's car last year, so this one will be going into the ZT along with the genuine Landrover two part clutch I bought at the end of last year.
Somehow working on your own stuff seems to take a back seat, not that I really wanted to be lying on my back in the snow Brian |

Is this a warranty replacement, or are you taking a chance they've got it right second time around and bought another Dave? Quite frankly there are more disadvantages than advantages in using a metallic cylinder rather than plastic, this comes from experiences of owning both classic cars with either aluminium or cast iron slave cylinders, and a 75 fitted with both Tazu slave and master, which I will be removing and replacing with standard components as soon as time allows Brian |

It is a warranty replacement. I dropped Tazu a note and told them of my noisey slave that I fitted in June. They have sent the replacement out apparently and I'm just waiting. I got to the point of information overload regarding slaves. A little while ago the consider opinion was that a metal slave was best so I got that after my LUK failed just over 12 months old and just out of warranty. Everything is at the moment working fine but I'm guessing it'll fail soon and then I'll replace it (again). Having said that, I've now got all the tools needed and the appropriate experience so I reckon I can drop the subframe and box and put it all back together in about 6 hours. What a PITA. The next 75 will definatley be an auto! |
