Default Handbreak fix?

Hello. The handbrake on my ZT-T has been a pain ever since I bought it, never feeling 100% and needing regular adjustments. It's bad again and my usual repair garage says it now needs new cables. I recall that there were threads on using a modified compensator to improve the situation. Does anyone know if they are still available? Many thanks.

HarryM1BTY used to do modified compensators but has stopped, if you drop him a PM he can recommend an alternative. There's also handbrake advice from him.

Hi Anthony.
Please do not let any garage talk you into wanting new cables as they are robust and I have yet to see any that have stretched, it will most certainly be the compensator.

Couple of links below for you to read up on cheers Arctic.

R53 alternative little bit more involved work to fit this one though.

Many thanks for the replies. I've now got a modified compensator, promptly supplied by 'Arctic'.

Arctic did mine yesterday at the Nano meet. Previous mechanic had obviously bodged it with a spacer. Now working better than ever. Thanks Arctic!
