Did you put it in place of the Finisher assembly-roof joint or over it?

What would be your counsel? Swapping rail & clips for good ones? How can I take off the rail without damaging it even more?

Try firstly on the finisher. If you aren`t satisfied - you are able to refit it using 3M double sided tape - the genuine one is a bit weak. It will be boring and a bit difficult removal of what is left, but...

Not too prominent when fitted upon the finishers ?
But first I've to refurbish my left finisher : how to take it off without any damage on the roof paint or the finisher ? Otherwise said how to take off a finisher properly ? Thanks.
