RIP Eric 'winkle' brown true legend. He holds two world records for the number of different types of aircraft flown and the number of deck landings.

The word legend is overused these days, this is one time where it fits perfectly.

Thank you for your service.

I watched a documentary about Eric 'Winkle' Brown only about 7 months ago.

Only posted recently about the achievements of this man. His work in advancing and developing seaborne landing systems is the worlds standard. His abilities in testing "untried" aircraft was phenominal.

They certainly don't make them like Eric "Winkle" Brown anymore.

I read this about a month ago, a brilliant book.

It was really strange to hear on the news that he had passed away so soon after I had been reading his biography.

He had one hell of an exiting life, when you read the honors list each year and see the type of dingbats that are on it, why cant the likes of Eric Brown be the ones getting Knighthoods?!
