Default Serpent alloys centre caps

I'm getting a set of Serpents to retro fit to my Mk1 pre-facelift car, does any body know if these are the correct ones to get? All Rimmers could tell me were they fit 17" wheels, not the type of wheel they would fit.

Think you need the "Octopussy" caps for Serpents

'Fraid not. For Serpents, you need part no RRJ 100110 - Octopussey as Ronnie said. Sadly showing as NLA at Rimmers

These guys are showing stock, at £25.52 each. May be best to get second hand and refurb them .

Hi,
I'm in contact with a few different people and companies to try and get new badges made for these.

You could always try a set from these folk. A little different to OEM, but if you were to select "black" for the background colour I would imagine they should look pretty close. Never tried them myself though, so can't comment on quality etc.

What the heck, curiosity has got the better of me, so I've ordered a set. I'll post back here once they arrive and let you know what they're like .

Do you mean the ones from Rimmers can be fettled Ronnie? If so, what would need to be done to them do you think?

Don't think Jim, know, as i've done it. First, you take off the badge & you'll be left with a hole in the centre. Now you need to drill 3 holes 3/4mm through the front, equally spaced & countersunk from the front. Now, take a step drill & from the back, remove the splines by drilling out the metal part, the splines are metal, the front is soft alloy. You should now have 2 parts. Find some spacers of 11mm, 10 may do, insert the bolts from the front, a spacer, the splined part, then lock nuts. Your centre caps should now fit the wheel
Just to mention, I did this to fit Straights, but it's the same principle

I got a set of Meteor centre caps from Rimmers and removed the badges to stick on my Serpents, as they’re the same size badges. You just end up with a spare set of Meteor centre caps without badges! OEM badges, though.
