I think all most fans ask is that they give it a good go,and not return home with their tails between their legs.The lack of a top goalkeeper worries me, because a sure footed keeper spreads confidence throughout the defence.
I'm glad to read quite a few think the quarters are realistic.Beyond that anything is possible.

Thought England played very well in the first half against Nigeria,took their foot off the gas to some degree in the second half.There will be sterner tests to come for sure but it was an encouraging performance in the build up.

From a Welshman I like too see England do well to be honest, it would be great one of the UK teams goes through you know

As another Welshman,i would be pleased to see England do well. BUT with Stones and Dier as the backbone of the side i don't think they are up to International class. According to the chart with Daily Mirror today they will face Germany or Brazil in 1/4 final. I can't see them beating either of those two.
As a footnote people ask me why do we like to beat England so much,one example is todays' Mirror had no less than 8 pages of Englands game,FCS.

I don't normally watch football much now , but i watched a bit of the England game last night.
All I will say is , we are not going to be winning the competition . More chance of MGROVER making nice cars again.

Think positive ...Leicester won the premiership !!.. Underdogs can win .maybe we can do a Denmark (1992 filed to qualify , and still won ) and a team can gel and surprise everyone ...I would love to see us do well .AND go out (if we have to ) playing football and not taking penalties...The future looks promising for england international football , bearing in mind the recent successes of the junior squads ..COME ON ENGLAND !!!!

Your right Nige you have to be positive, and I hope they do well , but imo the reality is we are not that good .

Now that would be good, With Gareth bale and Harry Kane side by side I reckon they'll both be a cracking goal scores.
