Default MF54 CCY Rover 75 diesel tourer

Hi,

This is a bit of a shot in the dark really. Does any club member own or know where MF54 CCY is these days?

It is a night fire red Rover 75 2.0 diesel (131) tourer. It was my father's last car before he passed away in 2006. I ran it briefly and then sold it (but now regret doing so!)

At the very least I would like to find out where it is now, and how it is doing?

Hopefully someone may know something?

Fred

It would be Firefrost red mate, night fire was not a 75/zt colour.
I believe DVLA can check if a car is still in use for a small fee,not sure if they will reveal which area its in though. Ah! Try the MOT check via their website.you have to pay,but it will give you the MOT history and mileage at each test, and I think the test centre details.

I know it's some time since I posted this up, but I want to keep looking for MF54 CCY.

Unfortunately wanting to know where your old car is does not meet the DVLA requirements to give out owner info. I've just posted an 'ad' looking for it on Gumtree too. Anyone who sees it, or even knows who owns it - please PM me.

All the best,

Fred

Gosh I hear that sentiment almost on a weekly basis, the regretful sale of a 75!!!
Richard Woolley's original concept of "a design passion" is rubbing off on folk in a big way these days especially as new cars get more and more bland every day.

Good luck with your search

Form V888 and a £5 will get you the details...as you were a previous registered keeper

It's still being used as it was retaxed at the beginning of this month.
I'm not on Facebook or the like but maybe some members could help you out.

BUMP

I put a wanted ad out on Gumtree without success and have tried a few of the Facebook groups too now.

Still looking, and seriously thinking of trying the DVLA form with fingers crossed! :-)

Cheers,

Fred

It is a pity then that this sentiment was not felt all those years ago when the car was first introduced, and the public listen to wrong opinions, and Rover went bust, a real pity...

MGR didn't go bust due to lack of car sales, the whole company was asset stripped to the point of bankruptcy by the Phoenix Four
Plenty written about it and they should have gone to prison for what they did.
Instead it is alleged they got away with 9 Million each and walked away.
