Default 2005 mg zt 190se

I have a rare 2005 MG ZT 190SE in pearl black but the Cam tensioner has just gone and since I don’t have the time to change it myself, it seems uneconomical to repair as it also has a leak from the rear screen clips and a wiring fault (suspected Light Control Monitor).

It has done c. 90k miles and has been regularly maintained and upgraded and has the standard SE spec including V6 2.5 engine, Sunroof, Cruise control, Alcantara seats, 18 inch Apex alloys etc.

It’s in great condition for a 13 year old car and has the following new bits/upgrades:
  • New Tyres 9000 miles ago
  • New Exhaust 4000 miles ago
  • New Battery 1 year old
  • New Radiator 3 years ago
  • Navall Radio with Android Sat Nav, TV module and Bluetooth handsfree with external mic
  • Hertz DSK 165 speakers
  • Bespoke TV Aerial cable from factory rear screen aerials
  • Upgraded viz motors
  • LED interior lights
  • Illuminated sun visors
  • Grab handle
  • Auxiliary power socket in centre console
  • etc

Since I don’t have the time to continue to repair and maintain this modern classic at the moment, £400 or offer would save it from the scrapyard. The car is located in North London and will need to be collected if anyone is interested.

Thanks for looking.

I have been pleasantly surprised by the number of enquiries I received from members who were keen to save this car from the crusher.

The car was sold at the weekend and is now at its new home in the Midlands.

Thanks for all your enquiries and especially the new owner - I know you will enjoy the project and the finished article once you’ve completed the repair work.

All the best
