I just wanted to add my thanks to Arctic for his great how-to's including the handbrake mods. I ended up going down the R53 route as there was one on eBay very close to me so I could collect and do the job over the Easter weekend. Took me ages but I now have a working handbrake! I've benefited from his information quite a few times between the 75 I had for a few years and my recent purchase, a ZT-T.
Arctic, would you like my old mild steel compensator to modify for someone else? I don't think I get an allowance of many pm's but if you could message me your address I'd be happy to pop it in the post to you. |

Many thanks to Arctic for a superb service. I fitted the modified compensator the day after it arrived. Couldn't have done it without his great how to. I am delighted to be a member of the three click club so satisfying when you apply the handbrake.

Arctic's compensator fitted to the ZT/T and like all who posted before me I am so happy to have a perfect handbrake now.
The SSC was well finished, almost factory standard, especially for an item that is never on display. Arctic got it to me very quickly so I could fit it on weekend, returned old already. Please be sure to return yours promptly so Steve can continue this great service to the club. Had similar experience with SS 'T' piece for coolant system from club, so nice that this community helps each other out as it does |

Thanks Arctic
Hi Arctic,
Many thanks for the modified handbrake compensator. I now have a handbrake that is properly adjusted and works well, so should be OK for MOT next week. Briefly, on another matter, it appears that the brake master cylinder for the diesel cars is no longer available. Do you know if there a way around this problem ? |
