I probably have seen the film, but a long, long, long time ago.

Hmm...not really a lot to go on.

I imagine that phrase has been used in many films

I give in.

It comes from a film made in 1937. Another clue, it was set in the fictional Northern Irish village of Buggleskelly.

Well..... I could search the Internet, but that would be cheating:lol:
I also give up

Seems a shame there is no real village of Buggleskelly, What a name to conjure with.....

Quite correct! Recently watched selections from my collection of Will Hay movies and the humour still stands up, (there's a pun in there somewhere!). I'll refrain from posting quotes from Crazy Gang movies.....

OK

Type of film is clear from the quote but...which one?

"Blue Leader to all sections. Enemy anti-aircraft intact. Keep your eyes open. We're going in."

633 Squadron The Messerschmidts were not the 109's but 108's a light reconnaissance aircraft. Armed with 2 machine guns in the wings. This same mistake was made in quite a few war films of the period.

I don't think it was a mistake - I think they ran out of 109s and had to use 108s instead.

(Probably ex-Isaeli air force 109s).
