Oil leak on turbo
Hello, While changing the gearbox on my ZTT CDTi, with the subframe out, I had a nice view on my turbo and I noticed there was some oil around it as seen on the pics. I'm a bit scared now. Does anyone know if this is a serious problem. Shall I take it off and check the seals. Is there any seal that can be changed? Will it die soon? Or shall I just ignore it and pretend I didn't see anything? I have no idea what I should do. Any ideas? Thanks Last edited by macmalon; 27th February 2023 at 19:02.. |

OK, thanks for the fast reply! I had changed the PCV to the no filter BMW model a few years ago, but I'll check if it isn't clogged anyhow...
If it is indeed obstructed and that I fix it, will it fix the leak by itself? I mean, there might be some weak seal now? |

That silver coloured elbow attached to the turbo with 2 bolts is the oil feed I believe. It could be leaking from there, in which case, a replacement gasket might be all you need (item 9): https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GRID001961
