Davey, what's with the hazard and door lock switches being relocated below ATC, or more to the point, what's gone where they used to reside ?
I hated the switches where they were. Forever pressing the wrong one. Plan is to relocate my usb power socket from the glovebox to where the switches used to be. Currenltly have an old cover on there with holes filled and vinyl wrapped to match the dash

Install is still a work in progress for me. I love the tinkering I can do with this.

Using this interface for the tab.

Link on the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...dsidekick.lite

Going away for a couple of days for a mini break, so will see how the install performs on a couple of long journeys.

Thanks Rob. See you at the Nano

For any techies out there...... I'm looking at how to improve the GPS reception on the tablet. Currently using GPS from phone via bluetooth but just seeing if I can improve the actual GPS antenna to increase reception and drop the need for any thethering. Any suggestions chaps

You can get an external Bluetooth GPS unit and pair it with the tablet. You can then mount the GPS unit in a better location.

I've seen people mount it inside the shark aerials that BMW's have.

Be aware though. Some android devices don't like connecting to 2 bluetooth devices at once. So if you plan on using tethering from your phone for Internet on your tablet, make sure you can connect a second bluetooth device at the same time as well.

It can currently tether to my phone via Wifi and bluetooth at the same time but I did not want to be reliant on the phone, so an independent device would bee make a good option.

Godfer - do you have, make model, etc I may be interested.
