Saw this thread and thought, for once, I must think of something nice. But then went back over the last 24 hours and thought I’d better write it all down in case I forget it.

This time yesterday my new monthly varifocal contact lenses were telling me they didn’t think much of where I’d put them and started giving me gyp. Not nice.
Tried taking them out, one did easily and the other just would not let go so had to sleep with one in. More not nice.
Up at the crack of dawn (please resist the temptation) and off to Lakeside for opening time at Specsavers. Got there early so bought a paper to find an article saying "People who sleep with contacts in can go blind" I know there are other reasons, but this one had an urgency about it. Very not nice.

Had an examination, lovely Asian lady removed the damned thing and confirmed I hadn’t gone blind. That’s a nice thing.
Because I was on a new trial there was no charge for the consultation. That’s another nice thing.
Got home to find post on the mat. From HMRC. “We have revised your tax position”. Turns out they owe me £390. Now that’s what I call a nice thing. Three in 12 hours, not bad.

And that's what I'm talking about! Many nice things happening! I've ran out of thanks, but will stick one on tomorrow when my quota of thanks returns. Which will be nice.
