Default Err on dash and THIS is new

Just came back from the shop and i started the car and had a Err on the dash instead of the mileage, switched it off and on and now it is ok. anyone know? also do anyone know the test no eg press reset and hold in and it will run a test but i havent got the book of choosing the right one, test 1 test 2 and so on, i have nothing to compare the results.

And another question, There's a hidden code in the radio hi-line need the manual for that as well.

The 'Err' message suddenly appearing is most probably an electronic glitch that was caused by too rapid a key turn, etc. If it doesn't fix itself, a system reboot usually does it. This means the battery disconnect for 20 minutes, paying attention the any accessory shutdown procedure, radio code, etc.

The 'Err' message will also pop up if you attempt to fit a second hand instrument pack.

Happens on my 52 plate Tourer as well.

Its a glitch in the instrument pack software only relevant to 2002 cars i THINK

Just turn the start key a bit slower in future so that the software can keep up with you.

iF you have the hi line sat nav set up radio does not have a code.
