Thank god I bought through ebay

Hoping for the best here... but I have bought a OE Sat Nav setup from the ebay seller Auroraswish, now I was not aware that's who the seller was and he was keen to get me to do a bank transfer rather than paypal but I have paid via ebay and paypal and only on examining my paypal account tonight I see the name and if I could I would cancel the payment but it is completed and paypal won't let me.
He has asked me to arrange a courier for collection Monday PM as he wanted £20 for postage and I did not want to pay that ammount.

I take it if nothing turns up I am covered through ebay.

Normally you are safe gaurded through paypal.Worst happened us once and we got our money back through paypal and they went after the seller.Hope it works out ok for you.

I bought a couple of suspension arms through ebay a while ago. Payment made by Paypal.
They never came and seller spun me all sorts of stories about couriers.
I had made all my contacts with him through the eBay messaging.
Eventually I phoned eBay and told them. While I was on the phone they were able to access the messages I had sent and refunded me through paypal immediately with no quibbles. Very good service. I recommend you make all contacts through the messaging service.

Hope you get sorted Stubs, had the same issue with parts purchased as well.

Paid for Full Leathers and HK, then didn't hear anything for 3 weeks, the moment however it was escalated via paypal the seats arrived and the HK sub, still waiting for the other parts though!

In fairness to Paypal and E-bay, they seem very good with that sort of thing.
