Default Airbag light issue

I've an airbag light that,s refusing to go out. I have a 2005 diesel model with only 70,000 miles. I know its a common problem on Rover 75,s and most problems are caused by the connections under the front seats. I've taken out the connections and soldered the joints and insulated them. Unfortunately this has failed to solve the problem.
After reading accounts of other people who,s had similar problems. I think its likely that the problem lies with side impact sensors or the airbag ECU. I have a few questions that more knowledgeable members may be able to help with.

(1) I haven't as yet seen the airbag impact sensors my car has fitted. Im not
sure where they are located. Can the impact sensor be removed without
removing the seats?

(2) Which impact sensor should I fit, as far as I can see there are two types
green or yellow.

(3) If I have to fit a new airbag ECU, my understanding is, it will need a T4 to
set it up. Can anyone recommend someone who can do this. I dont mind
traveling.

Any other suggestions or information are welcome, as I need to get to the bottom of the problem before the MOT expires.
Thanks in advance.

As your car is an 05 model, you will need the orange sensors, you have to remove the front seats to access them (One at each side) Carpet lifted up and you will spot them (I can supply tested used sensors if you find you need them)

Instead of guessing, get the car onto a T4, I can pass you the number of a very helpful Gent in the peoples republic of North Tyneside that will be able to assist.

Did your under seat work include the connectors for the seat belt pretensioners? A problem with the pretensioner wiring/connectors can also cause the light to come on.
