Default Webasto heater: north east

Hello all

I have a diesel fitted with a webasto heater. I believe it is meant to turn on automatically when outside temp is below 5 degrees but this didn’t seem to happen last winter. I have a new baby and really could do with a car that heats up quickly!

Is there anybody or any garage in the north east who could fit a manual switch or gsm text option to my car’s webasto?

Cheers
David

Does the webasto work?

If you check with Devilish I think he can supply a simple remote control. It will mean you adding a wire to one of the plugs that goes into the webasto but there is a How To to explain how this is done

thanks both.

There is a wire coming from the unit which I believe is an override function if you earth it, however that never seems to switch the webasto on (perhaps I am not earthing it correctly)?

Also previous owner said that sometimes he had to remove and refit fuse, something I haven’t done yet.

assuming it is working (here’s hoping) I would like that remote or button option

Aye, however if you earth pin 3 and it doesn't run, in all likelyhood the PCB is faulty

I've just popped in to see Dave on my return from a job in Durham, but he wasn't working late tonight.

It might be something else like a gooshed dosing pump, but the PCB on these Thermotop C are made of chocolate fireguards.

1st port of call would be to check that the 20a fuse (no. 8 I think), in the passenger side fuse box in the engine bay, is fitted.

Then take it from there.😄

Default Contact details for dave johnson (fencehouses)?

How're y'all doing? Need contact number for Dave Johnson (Fencehouses) to get in touch and make arrangements please? I'll challenge his mega reputation to finish off my ZTT (Possible issues with the Webasto heater? and fitting new REVOTEC A/C FAN) upgrade to replace the antiquated original on my ZT-T 2.0 CDTi (Automatic)

Thanks
