I had a driver side belt that would not recoil, tried Mr Sheen and it helped but I got a can of Wynns Silicon Lube from local Unipart store and it whizzes back in now.
It's this stuff, don't buy from ebay as I'm sure i got it for about £5 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Wynns-...7#ht_724wt_901 Stubs |

I asked Nick what he'd done to resolve this problem on my 190. Apparently, the sliding cover (the bit that moves up and down as the belt recoils into the B post) had become out of sync. He simply reseated it and the belt recoils normally. He said that the height adjustment had also become detached from under the seat, however this has no effect on the recoil movement, but does prevent the belt from automatically adjusting when the seat is moved forwards and back.
I hope this is of help. TC |
