I am one of the ones still out of pocket but fortunately not as much as some of the others. Not only that but the VIS motors he told me never actually worked it seems! No wonder this car is so sluggish.
I have sent my evidence to Sue. In the meantime if anyone has a working Balance VIS (proven as I'm sceptical now) please come back to me! There's a certain irony in that the Power VIS which my Dad tried to repair and I took off seems to work, although it could do with a new micro-switch if I can get hold of them..

I thought that Paypal had a 'failsafe' to avoid this happening? Namely you could only close it properly once a cetain timespan had passed? 40 days? In the meantime Paypal still had access to your bank account / credit card...though I know there are ways around that too... |

I always withdraw monies from PayPal straight away and pay into my Bank account.
You can also, once you have put these into your bank, close bank account and PayPal say they can't recharge it after this has happened. A very common occurrence happening with some traders. Been there and had it done to me a few times now. |

Sue paid Mr King a visit on Thursday so hopefully we can see some action soon. She certainly seemed confident that he would resolve the outstanding issues but the more examples she gets the better just in case he fooled her too. I think he was a tad surprised to have trading standards turning up on his doorstep.
Like others have said it's is a shame he bit off more than he can chew but I am not prepared to pay for his mistake. I also bought a Nintendo DS on ebay recently and as it is a high risk item and the user has only 7 feedbacks paypal are holding on to the money and will only release it once I have given good feedback or until 21 days have passed. Great in theory but the seller is refusing to send until they have the cash and wont refund so ebay/paypal are going to have to sort that next week.

I still have one or two outstanding claims from dodgy fleabay characters and Paypal told me they had refunded all that was available in the Paypal accounts, which fell short of the total due, but admitted that they could not take money from bank accounts. |

Oh no, no, no no, no! I was almost on the brink of buying some long sought after blue leather seats from denniscoversmares on eBay. We've exchanged e-mails, and I'm waiting for him to send me location details so I can view before buying.
Reading this thread has put me off completely. Looks like I'll just have to continue my search elsewhere. Really frustrating!! TC |

I've just checked the seller's details on eBay, and the name is not John King. I won't post the full details here, but the first name is Sean. Are you sure that denniscoversmares and auroraswish are the same person? I'd like to proceed with a deal if possible, but can't afford to take risks.

'Sean' does appear to share the same mobile phone number with John.
