Always thought the styling was a bit bland so can't say as I have seen one recently but it's the sort of car that slips past unnoticed.

Nothing wrong with the 600, but the most anonymous Rover ever made in my humble opinion. They are still around, but go unnoticed.

Had a 600, liked it but I was seduced when the mechanic at my local garage was selling his 3litre Omega Elite.

There is a 623GSi still around my area, I see it parked in the town quite often, looks like a British racing green colour or similar, well looked after and obviously still well used, they were a very nice car to drive and ride in, my old accountant had one also.

Back in the 90s as an engine tester at Rover I managed to get a 600 for 3 months on test (had to pay company car tax on it as I recall). It was a pre-production model with the L series diesel engine about 6 months before their release for sale. I loved it and would love to get one now. I was getting about 55 to 60 mpg on my trip from Bromsgrove to Gaydon every day. A few people would take a second glance when filling at diesel pumps or when hearing the engine noise as they had not been released at that point.
