Excellent. When I was after a 260 I was getting very frustrated at the number of "dead" adverts, either no response or the car had been sold but nothing done about taking the ad down It was so bad it rather took me by surprise when I did find one available.

I kept ringing and ringing and ringing. I ring the number 50 times and my other half about 30. He eventually picked up this morning amd said he’s it’s still here. So I snapped it up! It’s chassis number 02549 and engine number 18k4fk510247008. I will do the head gasket and then make it the best I can. Won’t get driven in bad weather. That’s what my other cars are for. With that millage it needs to be kept. The guy said no rust under it either.

Thats great news seems there are only 3 known 1.8 launch cars

Mine will be heading to a new home not far from you soon its VIN ends 02712 and engine number ends 247025 so a very close car and also ends in LNV
