Not a happy bunny today. Firstly I woke up like Cyclops, couldn't open my left eye the eyelid was so swollen, its eased a bit now.

Secondly, I received a jury citation a few weeks ago, had to advise them of any special needs etc. I emailed the jury service making them aware of my medical problems and that I can need the loo at (very) short notice, no reaction from them. Citation came into play on Monday and all week I've been unable to plan anything, phoning the update number every evening, last night I was advised I'd be contacted the clerk of the court today. He phoned earlier, details of the possible trial etc, asked if I had any concerns, said my only concern was the possibility of disrupting proceedings with short notice toilet breaks . . . . you're excused and your citation is cancelled! I told them about it weeks ago yet they leave me hanging around like a spare .... all bleedin' week

I have done jury service twice and the third request came as I was in the throes of moving. I sent a letter back explaining and the reply was that I was excused and would never be asked again.

My late wife done jury service at the Old Bailey, she was there for nearly 6 months. The verdict was finally thrown out. And the case started all over again but with a new jury.

Evening all, been a red hot non stop day in work today, a nice long dog walk through the countryside brought things back to a more leisurely pace.

Meg wanted to chase this hare she spotted, the hare wasn’t too impressed.

Morning everyone. Lovely blue sky, no clouds.

Hay fever is here, again.

Not venturing very far today as the roads will be a nightmare.
