Default Questions Regarding Refurbishing Serpent Alloy Wheels

Afternoon,
I now have a set of five serpent alloy wheels which need refurbishing. I intend to get the wheels powder coated in silver sparkle at City Wheel Refurbishment. Has anyone had their serpent alloy wheels powder coated in silver sparkle at CWR and has the colour matched the centre caps?
I have had slightly different answers from CWR. I have been told that the colour was not an exact match and the other was that the powder coat would match.
The next question is how do I remove the Rover badges from the centre caps and are these available to buy.
Also can the centre caps be powder coated along with the wheels or are the centre caps not suitable for powder coating?
Thanks for your help.
Regards David

Hi David, the badges can be pulled off, or, iirc, pushed from the back through a hole, & yes, you can get replacements. If the caps are metal, you can powdercoat them, but not the plastic ones. I got my 11 spokes done in silver sparkle, well, near as, just silver with sparkly bits in HTH's

I had Meteors refurbished in Silver Sparkle by BJ Engineering in Hemel a few years back

( just looked and it was way back in 2008 https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...&highlight=bjv

and they were an exact match against a set of new centre caps.
My opinion is that there is too much sparkle in the ones from City, Ok if you get caps repainted but not if you don't. Cant argue with the price though!

Hello Ronnie, Thank you. I know I'm not particularly bright but what do you mean by "iirc" and "HTH's"? The caps are metal so I wont need to worry about a variation in colour. Have you seen any Rover centre cap badges for sale recently? Regards David
